The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.



 

Student answer (Band 6.5)

The plans illustrate the changes that have taken place at Beechwood Farm between 1950 and the present day.

Overall, the site underwent significant changes, with several new features being added and the tracks were replaced by roads and the barns have been relocated.

In 1950, a long river along with western and eastern sides of the farm, while the road located in the western side. The sheep was located in the center. There were barn, farmhouse, and chickens situated in the east-south. These things are connected with tracks. On the western side, the fruit trees, followed by soft fruits, and vegetables.

By the present day, a farm shop, a camping field, holiday cottages,and two parking zone have been built. The number of tracks were replaced by roads, while the farms shop besides the fruit trees. Although, the solar panels were installed in north-east. The camping field located in the center. The barn relocated in south central. There were two parking zone, one was northern side and another was eastern side.The holiday cottages located between the parking and farmhouse in the northern side. However, the other features including the fruit trees, soft fruits, and vegetables, farmhouse, and chickens remained unchanged.
