IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.



 

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The maps illustrates the difference after the developments in Beechwood Farm from 1950 to today. At a glance, the entire track has been replaced with a road.

At first, the sheep are has been divided into two parts, in the left hand side, Camping field and a Parking were constructed while on the other side, Solar panels and a Parking were added. In the South-East side, the Barn was there in 1950, but now the Barn is shifted to the bottom side and it is connected to the road. At the location, where Barn exist is taken by the Holiday cottages. In the North-West side, just a single Farm shop was built next to the main road. the section of Soft fruits and Vegetables is remained same without any new development or changes.

To sum up, the major developments was happened in the sheep area which is located in the North-East.
