The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.



 

Student answer (Band 6.5)

The two pie charts compares the Average number of people lived per houshold in 1995 and 2005 over a one decade period.

Overall, it is evident that two people per household record the highest figure in first year while the least proportion of 6 people per house. By 2005 three people per household was by far the most common number. By contrast one person had its lowest percentage.

Looking at the more detail, In 1995 people who lived two person per household represented the largest figure at approximately 31%, closely followed by the three people around 20%. Then four people ranked third at almost 18%. Whereas one person, five person and six people accounted for 17%, 8% and 6%, respectively.

In terms of final year, three people per household showed a largest percentage at roughly 35%. It made the highest figure. Similarly, two people had become slightly down around 30%, clearly followed by four people at about 17%, while five, six and one individuals per house remained relatively low at just only 13%, 3% and 2%, respectively.
