IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.



 

Student answer (Band 6.5)

The maps illustrates the area of the beechwood farm in the year of 1950 and the changes was made over the period of time and the same farm area at present day.

Overall, land for farming are still at same place where as tracks all over the beechwood transformed to roads. However, large ground area for sheep now turned into public facilities.

In 1950, the fruit trees, soft fruits and vegetables farm land was beside the river area and this three sections was attached with track path. Therefore, on the opposite side of track there was huge area for sheep grazing. south east side of map have barn, farmhouse and chickens area between the farming area and farmhouse there was linking road.

at present, In the sheep area transformed to camping side consequently there are two parking spot on the both south and west corner of the farm. Although, now it has four solar panels on the right side of camping area. At present barn is converted to holiday cottages and moved from there previous place and road is also connect with it in between of farm land and farm house. Infront of large parking spot there is farm shops.
