The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.



 

Student answer (Band 6.5)

The plans illustrates the site of a farm in 1950 and now the same city.

Overall, it is clear that Beechwood farm has undergo significant changes now. It is considerably reorganized to improve its overall facilities.

In 1950, the farm layout constructed for the agricultural facilities. There were fruit trees,soft fruits and vegetables beside the river. A system of track connected the barn and next to the farmhouse and chicken area. However, The north east side was dedicated to sheep grazing.

Today. there has significant changes after development. The fruit trees connected with the farm shop while soft fruits and vegetables have the same direction. In addition, A system of track changed as a road which is attach with parking next to the camping field has been constructed. Meanwhile, Include solar panels in the northeast side. In contrast, The barn has moved southwest of the farmhouse and holiday cottages have been built in the same place also Farmhouse and chicken have the same direction.

Overall, Beechwood Farm has shifted from a focus on traditional farming to a more diversified use, incorporating tourism and modern energy features while retaining some agricultural aspects.
