The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.



 

Student answer (Band 6.5)

The given table illustrates the data of six nations having the underground rapid transit systems. Overall, the least kilometers of route of railway system is in Kyoto and the highest passengers travel by railway are in Paris.

When we look at the details, London railway system is the oldest among all it was constructed in 1863. The systems route is the highest among the six countries about 394 kilometers and 775 millons passengers travel per year. Moreover, in Paris, the underground metro was opened in the year 1900. The network was 199 kilometers and the tourist were travelling 1191 millons per year.

In contrast, Tokyo railway holds the highest travels annually 1927 millon passenger per year. The systems metro connectivity is 155 kilometers and it was established in the year 1927. Kyoto railway system route is the shortest among all six nations only 11 kilometers. Only 45 millons of the passengers travel in each year and the opening of system was in 1981.

There are some minor errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'millons' instead of 'millions' and 'tourist were travelling' instead of 'tourists travelled'. Despite these slips, the vocabulary is sufficient to convey the intended meaning clearly. The student demonstrates an adequate range for the task, even though the content itself is irrelevant to the specific prompt provided.
