IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.



 

Student answer (Band 6.5)

The maps illustrate the changes to the Beechwood farm between 1950 and the present day.

Overall, the farm is observed to be more developed and several new creational display this place to be a tourists attraction.

In 1950, there is only trees now a new farm shop is developed near fruit trees. Also, the non constructed track has now become a road. The barn was relocated to a site adjacent to the road. The top portion was for Sheep now it is distributed in two halves. The left half contains the parking and the camping area for the tourist to relax in tents. Nevertheless, right side area is dedicated to solar panels which is used to produce electricity. The area near the road and river have spacious space for holiday cottages now which were not present earlier. Chickens area remained there till now.

Overall, the main significant changes has been observed for the top area. and the farm now become more popular than earlier.
