IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.



 

Student answer (Band 7.0)

A layout of Beechwood Farm is illustrated with it in the year 1950 and in that in the present day.

Overall, it is evident that the North-East region of the farm has been revamped majorly with introduction of two new parking, solar panels, and camping field.

To begin with, the barn is relocated from South-East to on the Y-intersection of the road in South. The place of Barn in 1950 is now occupied by holiday cottages which contains a new parking on the other side of the road. In West direction a new farm shop is there today in the fruit trees area which was not in 1950.

Moreover, in the North-East there was huge area allocated to sheep which is now modifies for recreational activity such as camping field in which people can stay in tents. There is a newly made parking just opposite the farm shop. Lastly, a new source of renewable energy generation, solar panels is also introduced in the far North-East corner.
