The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The pictures underneath demonstrates the comparison of a farm called Beechwood in 1950 and the present site.
After analyzing both the plans, it is evident that the area designated to sheep have been transformed majorly since 1950 on compared to other changes.
In the year 1950, there was a track which seperated the important spots in the farm. However, it has been upgraded to strong roads in the latter picture. Another significant upgrade was witnessed in the south-east region near the curve of a river. Here, Barn has moved to the triangular arc of road as the Holiday cottages have replaced it.
In contrast, the south-west region remained intact in both the pictures besides a mere new addition of the Farm shop. On the opposite side of the road; parking along with the Camping field is situated at half of the portion earlier dedicated to sheep. Other half is captured by Solar panels above another parking area.
