IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.



 

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The diagrams show the area of a farm in Beachwood Farm back in 1950 and at present day. The area with the boundaries of track and the river surrounding the farm hasn't change from 1950 till date. Although, there are some new construction performed in sheep feeding area, Fruit trees and along side the barn and farmhouse.

In the 1950's, the area sharing a boundary between the track and the river majorly consisting of fruit trees, soft fruits and vegetables now also includes a farm shop in the fruit tree area alongside the road for the general public. Whereas, The area reserved for sheep's was divided into two parts - Camping field and Solar Panels each consisting of separate parking area in todays date.

Moreover , the Farmhouse and place for chickens remained same over the years, on the other hand the Barn was relocated at the vertex of triangular intersection , along with that transforming the old Barn from 1950 into todays holiday cottages.
