The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.



 

Student answer (Band 5.5)

The maps illustrate how the Beechwood farm looked in 1950 and now.

Overall, the beechwood farm underwent significant development, with the construction of new holiday cottages and farm shop. The major change was the sheep area removed to make way for camping field, solar panels and two parking. Moreover, track converted into roads.

To begin with, in 1950, sheep area was situated on the north-west corner of this site. Fruit trees, soft fruits and vegetables were located in the middle of the beechwood farm. along with the river and connected with track. On the east side of this area, barn and farmhouse were presented and below the chickens were located.

At present day, sheep area are transformed into camping field, sonal panels and two parking on the northern side of beechwood farm. Similarly, tracka were converted into roads and connect the barn. Furthermore, barn is replaced with holidat cottages on the east side of this site. Farmhouse and chickens are presented as prevoius
