The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.



 

Student answer (Band 6.5)

This plan shows the comparision between the design of Beechwood Farm in 1950 and today. In general, it is observed that the farm has undergone major changes, and six new modifications have been added to the current layout.

Previously, the Beechwood Farm had a simple structure with no shops, parking, camping area, solars, and designated cottages. However, all of these amenities are available now. The old sheep area is now divided into two sections. One section has a camping field with a parking lot in the corner, and the other section has solar panels installed for electricity supply and also features a parking area that faces the road directly.

The area for soft fruits, vegetables, and fruit trees is similar compared to the plan of 1950. A farm shop, however, is now available in the fruit trees section.

On the contrary, the designated area for Barn is replaced and shifted beside the chicken section. Holiday cottages are now available where previously the barn was located.
