IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.



 

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The plans illustrates about the changes made to a Beechwood farm providing the plan of 1950 and the current plan of the farm.

To begin with, in 1950 when we make an entrance to the farm there was a track to the right there were fruit trees, followed by soft fruits and vegetables, which is also same in today's plan with track replaced by a road and fruit trees area has a farm shop as well. Furthermore, there is a parking area in current plan left to the road. There was only a sheep area to left side having it renovated to camping field, solar panels separated by a partition.

Moreover, the junction has now been attached to a barn. The barn in 1950's plan is changed to holiday cottages, farmhouse and chickens area remains static. There is an additional parking area just opposite to the holiday cottages crossing the road. River attaches the area as usual touching the area in curve form from fruit trees to end of the farm.

Overall, it is clear from all the perspective. There are numerous changes made to the farm over the years.
