IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.



 

Student answer (Band 6.5)

The given plans illustrates the renovations occured in Beechwood farm from1950 to as of now.

Overall, the farm site has undergone tremendous changes through an effective utilisation of the available land. It has converted to a sophisticated farm from an old farmhouse. There are notable efforts for the utilisation of the available resources.

The sheep area of the old farm has been modernised through the construction of camping field and parking slots. Solar panels have also been installed in the corner of the farm as part of renewable energy production. The track has been converted as fully fledged roads. Similarly, holiday cottages were also built as part of the renovation. The farm shop constructed near the fruit trees is an another attraction in the renovated farm site.

On the contrary, the areas dedicated to fruit trees, soft fruits vegetables are conserved as it was in the past. Likewise, the chickens are also kept unchanged near to the farmhouse building.
