IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.



 

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The plan demonstrates the Beechwood Farm, how it looked in the past year 1950, and how it looks at present.

Let's first look at the plan of Beechwood in 1950; it started with the main road on one side is river and other side was used for walking, called the track. Between the river and the track, the very first thing is fruit trees; next to that are soft fruits, and lastly some vegetables. For this, you see small trees in that corner; chickens lives they near that is a farmhouse, and near the track, a barn, while opposite to that sheep place.

Now, how it looks at present is that the tracks are now converted into the road on this side, where sheep live now; that is used as ,small coner od main to road use as the parking let over is use as camping feild and solar panels is installs and at the end near to a road parking area.the place bettween the river ans the road is as itis but only opssioti of the parking farm shop is build and other think is that a barn place is now use as holiday cottage while barn is now in between the vagetable lane and chickens.
