IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The given maps illustrate layout of beechwood farm in 1950 and changing in present time.
overall, after updating the farm facilitate with advance energy equipment's , farm shops and tourism places. The farm become more modernize with new roads. The fruits/vegetables field and farmhouse remained on same site.
To begin, in old farm large north- east corner for sheep and simple walking track link with all stations. The barn was on south east side while, the farmhouse and chickens production places was just behind. the fruits and vegetables fields south side linked with bank of river and the north side attached with walking track.
After updating, the walking tracks replace with roads and two parking stands install in place of sheep field one is at east side other connect with main road and farm road at north. the big sheep field change demolish and solar panels install at north east corner and at north west side convert into camping field with two campus and trees. The holiday cottages replace with barn while, farmhouse and chicken remained on same site. The fruits and vegetables fields are on same place and new farm shop introduce in fruits trees corner which connect to road.
