The two maps below show Beechwood farm in 1950 and today.

Overall Beechwood farm has traditionally focused on agriculture pursuits but it has recently expanded to include facilities for tourism and renewable energy initiatives.

In 1950, the farm was largely devoted to agricultural activities. The northern part consisted of fruit trees to the west and a sheep grazing area to the east. Vegetables were cultivated in the south-west, while the south-east contained a cluster of buildings, including a barn, a farmhouse, and a designated area for chickens. These were linked by a simple access road.

At present, the layout is considerably more diversified. The former sheep pasture has been converted into a camping site, accompanied by a nearby parking facility. A farm shop has also been introduced close to the fruit-growing area. Notably, solar panels have been installed in the north-eastern section, reflecting a shift towards sustainable energy use. Despite these developments, the barn, farmhouse, and chicken enclosure remain largely unchanged in their original locations.
