IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The maps depict the sites of farms in past 1950 and today. Overall, the route from west of the road to south towards farmhouse in 1950 while today proper road is constructed from north west towards barn with farmhouse at south east at the same place.
In 1950 the barn was located in the south above farmhouse which was in the south east. Fruit trees, soft fruits and vegetables were in between the track and the river. Below farm house were the chickens while sheep’s were situated in the north east of the site of farms.
Furthermore, today in present there are a lot of changes made as it can be seen that a proper road is constructed, above that road is camping field made with parking at north west. Moreover, the solar panels allocated in north east with accessibility of parking. Fruit trees that are between river and road above which a farm shop is build while soft fruits and vegetables are at the same place. A barn is attached to the road which is in the south of the site. A holiday cottages are constructed marginally in the south above farmhouse while chickens and farmhouse are at the same place.
