IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The given maps illustrate the comparative view of farm site developments with its condition in 1950.
Overall, Beechwood farm is developed with major facilities as compared to 1950. Addition of solar panels, developed roads on track, camping field, parking, and cottages for holidays make the site a well developed farm.
Solar panels are installed on the back corner of sheep, whereas parking facility is now available next to these panels as well as main road side at enterance of farm. Central sheep area are now developed into camping field including addtion of trees and camps.
On the right side while entering from main road, a farm shop is made within as area of fruit trees. On the empty side of triangle, Barn is built and holiday cottages occupy the where the barn were previously built. The development converted the place into family friendly farm place to spend holidays with nature.
