Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response fails to adequately summarize the main features of the diagrams, largely due to unclear comparisons and a lack of relevant details. For instance, terms like 'reconstructed' and 'complete opposite' could be clearer. There's insufficient detail on changes in farm layout, such as the introduction of solar panels and landscaping. While a few changes are mentioned, the overall organization and clarity of information could be significantly improved.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

Coherence and cohesion in the response are quite limited. The use of linking devices is minimal, making it hard to follow the progression of ideas. For example, phrases like 'in the past' and 'however' are used, but they're not effectively connected to surrounding content. A clearer structure, perhaps organized by aspects of change (e.g., buildings, landscape, infrastructure), would enhance the overall flow and make the information more digestible.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

The lexical resource is quite low, with several spelling errors (e.g., 'digrams,' 'illburate,' 'beutifully') that detract from the intended meaning. There are also instances of awkward phrasing, such as 'the barm are replaced with holiday copr.' The vocabulary used is mostly basic and lacks variety. More precise language would improve clarity and professionalism in the summary of the diagrams.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The grammatical range and accuracy are quite poor. There are numerous grammatical errors, such as in sentence structure and verb form (e.g.,"barm are bulid," should be "barn has been built"), which make the writing difficult to understand. Additionally, incorrect tenses are used, such as 'are held' instead of 'were held.' Consistent use of correct grammar would improve the overall quality of the writing significantly.

Overall feedback

The response shows an attempt to address the task, but the lack of clarity and organization impacts its effectiveness. To improve, focus on clearly identifying the main features of the diagrams and organizing the information more logically. Make use of linking words to enhance the flow of ideas and consider incorporating more varied vocabulary. It's also important to proofread your work to catch spelling and grammatical errors, which can hinder communication. Strengthening these areas will significantly elevate your writing quality in future tasks.
