Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response is significantly under the 150-word minimum requirement, which severely limits the ability to provide a full or well-developed summary of the changes. While you identify some key features, such as the conversion of tracks to roads and the addition of new facilities, the description is incomplete and ends abruptly mid-sentence. To reach a higher band, you must provide a more comprehensive overview of all changes, including the removal of the sheep farm and the specific layout modifications, while ensuring the response meets the length requirement to allow for full development of the main features.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The response attempts to use basic cohesive devices like 'Overall' and 'Furthermore', but the logical flow is disrupted by the incomplete nature of the text. Paragraphing is present, but the abrupt ending prevents a coherent conclusion or a fully developed structure. The progression of ideas is hindered by the lack of sufficient detail and the unfinished sentence at the end. To improve, ensure that each paragraph has a clear focus and that ideas are linked smoothly throughout the entire report.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is generally functional but limited. You use some relevant terms like 'transformations', 'connectivity', and 'constructed', which are appropriate for describing maps. However, the range is narrow, and there are minor errors in word choice, such as 'reads' instead of 'roads' and 'is now is now' repetition. To achieve a higher score, you should aim to incorporate a wider variety of precise vocabulary related to spatial changes, such as 'demolished', 'expanded', 'converted into', or 'relocated', and ensure greater accuracy in your word choices.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains a mix of simple sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'in connectivity of farm' (missing articles) and 'tracks are converted to reads' (spelling error). The sentence 'There was sheep farm which is now is now place for camping field' contains multiple errors in article usage and repetition. The range of structures is very limited, and the unfinished sentence prevents an assessment of more complex grammatical forms. Focusing on accurate article usage and sentence construction will help improve your score.
