Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response identifies some key changes, such as the addition of solar panels and the farm shop. However, it fails to provide a clear overview or summary of the main trends, which is essential for Task 1. The description is largely a list of features rather than a comparative analysis of the site's transformation. Several details are inaccurate or confusing, such as the mention of 'soft fruits shops' and the description of the barn being 'intersect by two roads'. To improve, you should group information logically (e.g., infrastructure vs. land use) and ensure you highlight the most significant changes rather than listing every minor detail.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The response lacks a clear structure. The introduction is brief and the body paragraphs are not well-organized; the second paragraph is essentially a single, long, run-on sentence that makes it difficult to follow the spatial progression of the farm. There is a lack of cohesive devices to link ideas, and the paragraphing is ineffective. To improve, use clear topic sentences for each paragraph and employ linking words like 'furthermore', 'in contrast', or 'subsequently' to guide the reader through the changes in a logical, chronological, or spatial order.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. Phrases like 'newly added' and 'opposite to that' are used frequently. There are also issues with word choice and spelling, such as 'fam' instead of 'farm' and 'intersect' used incorrectly as a verb in this context. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to describe the changes in a professional or academic manner. You should aim to use more precise terminology related to maps and development, such as 'converted', 'expanded', 'demolished', or 'replaced'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The grammar is weak, with frequent errors in sentence structure, punctuation, and verb tense. Many sentences are run-on or lack proper conjunctions, such as 'The track were replaced by the road .There was a farm shop which is newly added'. Subject-verb agreement is also inconsistent (e.g., 'The track were'). The reliance on simple sentence structures limits the range, and the lack of complex sentences prevents a higher score. Focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring subjects and verbs agree, and using punctuation correctly to separate distinct ideas.
