IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.



 

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The illustration depicts the layout of the Beechwood farm in 1950 and the current one today.

Overall, it can be observed several modifications such as the incorporation of a camping field, a solar panels zone and the installation of parking zones.

Originally, next to the tracks there was a zone where sheeps were allocated along with fruit threes, soft fruits and vegetables. Also, there was a zone which had a barn camp, a farmhouse and chickens right next to the river.

Today, there are several roads instead of tracks. Also, there is a camping field and some solar panels rather than the chicken field. In addition, they have established two parking sites next the new roads, one by the north and another close to the main highway. Furthermore, a holiday cottages and a farmhouse has been included next to roads where originally was the barn, which has been moved into the main zone.
