IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.



 

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The maps compare the 1950's beechwood farm with its current version.

Overall, there are several changes that can be observed but the sheep area change significantly.

By observing closely, we can see a new farm shop is opened near the fruit trees and the track which is connected with carpet road is converted into road. Two parkings have constructed one the east and west side of location. The barn has moved to the left of farmhouse which was on top of it and holidays cottages are build at the old barn place.

Futtermore, few major changes can be seen in the sheep area such as range of solar pannels are installed on the northeast of the side and new camping area is also introduced to the left of solar pannels. In the last, there are only three locations that remained same namely soft furits, vegetables, and farmhouse which folllows the river at the bottom of the map.
