IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The given maps illustrate the place of farm in 1950 and the current site. There are many changes in Beechwood farm.
Overall, lot of things are newly introduced, some were transformed and some were eliminated. But some features remain same.
In 1950, there was a sheep in north-east corner but now it is transform. The solar panels are introduced now a days in the north-east corner. The camping field is introduced today in the north side of the farm which increases the beauty. besides it, a new parking place was manufactured. In the lower side of farm above river, fruit trees, soft fruits and vegetables shops were remain same.
In the south-east corner above the river farmhouse and chickens were also similar ,but new thing is that there was no barn in 1950 but today barn is present. Today two new areas of parking were constructed.
Today, there are more facilities in farm than 1950. These newly things changed the map of farm. Some people like old map but I like new one
