IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The following plans illustrates a farm in 1950 and the similar farm at present.
Overall, it is very prominent to see different additions to the new farm for example solar panels, camping field, farm shop, extra parking, and holiday cottages. Giving a close look the track has been changed to roads.
In more detail the farm in 1950 was not so well developed. There was a massive sheep area and other services where found across the track consisting of fruit tress adjoint to the soft fruits followed by vegetables at the southern side. Moreover, The eastern side had barn, farmhouse and chickens only River was flowing across the farm crossing the road at the west.
At current, size of the area remains the same but many chances are made to make the ranch look more attractive. Furthermore, the sheep area is transformed into camping field in the center solar panels are located at the east side followed by parking. Additionally, the track is relocated by roads and fruit trees has got farm shop by its side. Barn is replaced by holiday cottages and is now located at the area where people can have an easy access directly from the road.
Consequently, the ranch looks more beautiful having other helpful services added.
