Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response covers the main features of the maps well, identifying key changes such as the replacement of tracks with roads and the addition of new infrastructure. You successfully highlight the transformation of the farm's layout. However, the overview is slightly cluttered with unnecessary detail, such as mentioning the 'main road on the top left'. A more effective overview would focus on the shift from a purely agricultural site to one that incorporates tourism and renewable energy. While you mention the farm house and chicken area remain unchanged, the description of the barn's relocation is slightly confusing. Overall, the task is addressed clearly, but the summary could be more concise and focused on the most significant trends.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is logically organized into an introduction and two body paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression from the past to the present. You use some cohesive devices like 'To begin with', 'In addition', and 'In contrast to this' to link ideas. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical, and there are instances where the flow is interrupted by awkward phrasing, such as 'Followed by Parking lots'. The referencing is generally clear, but the paragraphing could be improved by ensuring each paragraph has a distinct thematic focus. The use of cohesive devices is sufficient, but they could be integrated more naturally to improve the overall flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'infrastructure', 'redevelopment', and 'commutable'. There are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'easy access of Vehicles' (should be 'easy access for vehicles') and 'recreation of commutable Paths'. Additionally, there are some capitalization errors ('Present', 'Underdeveloped', 'Barn') that detract from the professional tone. While you attempt to use more sophisticated vocabulary, the execution is occasionally imprecise. To reach a higher band, focus on using collocations more accurately and ensuring consistent, standard capitalization throughout your writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The response uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are several grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity, such as 'The The Barn and farm house have been replaced with Barn is moved to the middle of the road' and 'the farm house and chicken are remain Unchanged'. These errors in subject-verb agreement and sentence construction are noticeable. While you attempt complex structures, the control is inconsistent. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic grammatical errors, particularly with verb tenses and sentence fragments, and ensure that your complex sentences are punctuated correctly to maintain clarity.
