IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The map presents the whole overview of farm structure in 1950 and the site today.
Overall, there is a big chang in form desgin from 1950 to today's structure. Solar pannels, car parking and farm shop was not constructed previously.
In 1950 sheep area was kept large and parking area and solar panels were not introduced due to lack of these advanced technologies.
The present structure is different from the previous one. The architecture utilised the space of sheep area by diving it into three main parts: parking, solar panels and camping field area respectively. The Barn is replaced with holiday cottages and relocated near the triangle track. Farm shop is opened near the fruit trees along with the main road. The track is replaced with a wide road on each side there is a parking space. This road mainly connecting the parking area, barn and form shop in same line.
