The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.



 

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The maps illustrate how the layout of a beechwood farm has changed from 1950 to present. Overall, the site has experienced a significant transformation over the years. While Sheep farm has been completely demolished to other several facilities, chickens, soft fruits, vegetables, farmhouse, and fruit trees remained in the same place. To begin with, in 1995, the path in the middle was named as track, but today it is called as road. Similarly, the right side of the track was completely occupied by sheep farms, which is now converted to camping field and for four solar panels, each having nearly a equal area, with a seperate parking for each. In contrast, Fruit trees, soft fruits, farmhouse, vegetables, and chickens remain unchanged. Meanwhile, a farm shop is build near to the fruit trees. Moreover, the previous barn has been converted to holiday cottages, nevertheless, a new barn has been built at the far end of the road, near to the farmhouse.
