The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.



 

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The presented diagrams illustrate the appearance of a farm from 1950 and how it looks in the recent time.

A detailed analysis of this data reveals that, the farm has underwent a lot of modifications and seems to be more advanced and attractive for people.

Firstly, the entire area is lined by river on two sides and a road on one side. The southwestern land had fruit, soft fruit and vegetable cultivation in the respective order which is intact till date whereas southeastern direction used to have a barn, a farmhouse and area for chickens. However, the bran is repositioned to the corner near river and it previous spot is replaced by cottages for holiday stay.

Secondly, there was a track in 1950 that divided the farm into two halves which is now redesigned with a well-developed road.

Lastly, the potion on the other side of the road was previously utilized only for sheep in ancient times, but today this plot has a camping field. In addition, solar panels are installed and also a parking space for vehicles is added.
