IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.



 

Student answer (Band 5.5)

The two plans illustrates the difference of changes in the beechwood farm, since 1950 to today.

The beechwood farm has undergone a lot of changes till now. From the comparison of both diagrams of farm it is clearly seen that the track of farm is converted into a proper road and the barn who was once located at the end of the track is now shifted towards roundabout of the modern road and at that place of barn a holiday cottages is constructed. Moreover, on the left side of road, where the whole area was covered with sheep in 1950, is now full of with two parking, a camping field and next to it, the area were filled with solar panels. Whereas, the right side of road, have a single change in which the area of fruit trees is now added with a farm shop.

To conclude, there are lot of changes at the beechwood farm since today but most of the changes are on the left side of the modern road,
