The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
Two plans shown are of the site of a farm in 1950 and today.
Beechwood farm has developed a lot from what it was in 1950. Farm did not expand area wise but the number of confined areas for specialised activities has increased. The farm is now well connected and each area can be easily accessed compared to the farm in 1950.
In 1950, a huge area in north was allocated to sheep which now is divided into two areas, one for solar panels and another area for camping field. Before there was a track passing through the field and now it has been developed to a road and a barn is now attached to the road. Holiday cottages has replaced the barn present in 1950.
The areas at the southwest of farm that are fruit trees, soft fruits, and vegetables have not changed from 1950 but a farm shop is added at the connecting point of the road going through farm and main road through city. Two spaces near the ends of the road have been designated for parking and are present in the north side of the farm.
