IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.



 

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The map shows the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.

Overall, there are several changes like one major change is the area covered only with sheep's is now fully occupied with other facilities, whereas few things are unchanged.

By looking to map of 1950, north-east area with sheep's, on the middle of map track is given which is connecting with river and on middle of it many things are given like fruit trees, soft fruits and vegetables. On the bottom side some chickens were present and small area covered with farmhouse and barn.

However, the area covered with sheep is now today covered with 2 parking area, a place for camping and small area where solar panels are installed. Furthermore placement of fruit areas, soft fruits and vegetables are same in today. But the tracks in 1950 are now become roads. On bottom side chickens are present, barn and farmhouse even also same but one thing which add on is holiday cottages for visitors.
