IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The map Illustrates the field of a farm in 1950 and identical field now a day.
Overall, The Farm name is beechwood Farm, and mostly in 1950 there are lot of empty space, but today that empty space is all covered with different type of elements.
In major changes has been in sheep area, a whole huge part of the field was for sheep in 1950, where as in today's time it is cover in 2 parking spaces , camping field and the solar panels. More over on the fruits tress, now there is also farm shop along with fruit trees.
The track is in same area as it was in 1950, however it's name got change into road. 2nd major changes is has been in bran which is now called holiday cottages, and small bran area is also developed in todays time.
lastly soft fruits, vegetables, river, chicken and farmhouse are in same place with same name as they were in 1950.
