The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.



 

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The maps illustrate the changes that took place in Beechwood Farm between 1950 and the present day.

Overall, the farm underwent significant changes, with added farm shops and parking area, sheep area being converted into camping field. some areas are remained unchanged.

Looking at the first northen area, The sheep are was being replaced by camping field and in the right side end of the area added solar panels. Meanwhile, The parking areas were constructed in the left and right corner. In addition, The Track path in farm was converted into road.

Turning to the south area, the most of the area added and replaced. In the left side of the south, where the fruit trees, soft fruits and vegetables are remained same position, but in fruit trees right corner added the farm shop. Furthermore, in the left side of the south, barn replced by holiday cottages.The barn relocated in the center of the area and barn connect with two roads . However, Farmhouse and chickens parts are remained unchanged.
