The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The two plans illustrate the development of Beechwood Farm from 1950 till today.
Overall, Beechwood farm has underwent major changes in its layout with addition of new attractions to the farm.
The farm underwent major development in its infrastructure. The tracks leading to the differrent sites of the farm were rebuilt in to well developed roads. The barn which was initially close to the end of the track has been relocated near the centre of the road at the intersection of 2 roads. Whereas the initial site of barn has been replaced with holiday cottages.
Several new attractions,activity sites and accomodation facitlities were introduced to the farm over the years. For instance,the field allocated for grazing sheep has been divided and transformed into a camping field with tents. Whereas, solar panels were built on the other half of the land. Two new parking spaces has been allocated. One close to the main road,other being at the end of the road close to the solar panels. In addition to it a new farm shop has also been built close to the fruit trees.
