The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The given maps depict the information regarding layout of beechwood farm in 1950 and changes that have been made in present.
To start with, in 1950, there was a road and bridge that started from the west and ended in the north as well as there was alsa a river which started from the north-west corner and ended in the eastern side. Bsides this, there were three different areas for fruit trees, soft fruits and vegetables. A track which connected road started from the north side and in middle it took triangular shape and ended in the eastern side. A barn and farmhouse were located in the eastern direction and an area for chicken was situated just above river. Atlast, In the northeast corner, a field for sheep was situated.
Moving further, at present, a road and bridge remained at same place and a track has turned into road. In addition, a farm shop has been added in fruit trees field and a parking has been constructed in front of farm shop. In the north-east corner, there have solar panels and a new parking has been situated below panels. A camping site has located in right of solar panels and a barn has been converted into holiday cottages and a barn now situated in the south direction.
overall, it is seen that, the layout of beechwood farm have taken many changes. The principal changes are addition of parking and shop.
