IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The building scheme illustrates the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site after revolution.
Overall the old farm was less developed with few sites in it such as fruit trees, soft fruits, vegetables with track on left side and River on right side which further includes barn, farmhouse and chicken farm and it had also a sheep farm on left side of track. Then it was changed with some more development.
In today's farm, the track is replaced with road and there is addition of camping field along with parking to the corner of road instead of sheep farm. Further the fruit trees area got a farm shop and the road was ended at barn which subsequently have one extra building called holiday cottage.
Moreover, at the other side camping field, solar panels are introduced to meet the electricity demands.
