Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count of 150 words, finishing at only 73 words and trailing off mid-sentence ("The replacement of sheep with camping field"). While it attempts to introduce the diagrams and lists some changes such as solar panels and the camping field, the severe under-length prevents any meaningful development or complete overview of the visual data. According to the band descriptors, responses that are severely under-length cannot progress beyond Band 4.0 for Task Achievement.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.5

The text is structured into short introduction and body paragraphs, but the abrupt termination of the response prevents any logical progression or conclusion. Cohesive devices are minimal, and referencing is basic. Because the text breaks off mid-sentence, the overall arrangement is heavily disrupted, limiting the ability to demonstrate effective paragraphing or logical flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The student attempts some task-relevant vocabulary, such as "considerable alterations," "installation," and "compartment." However, the limited vocabulary range and word choice errors (e.g., "initiating a farm shop in the fruit trees compartment") restrict the score. Furthermore, the extremely short sample provides very little lexical evidence to evaluate against higher bands.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The student produces simple sentences and attempts a complex structure ("The considerable alterations made in farm today include..."). There are minor grammatical lapses, such as missing articles ("in farm today"). However, because the text is exceptionally brief and ends abruptly, it is difficult to fully assess a wider grammatical range.
