The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The diagrams illustrates two different plans of a beechwood farm in 1950 and the recent area.
Overall, there is comparatively huge development in farm as more sustainable ways are adopted now. In past most of area was covered by sheep, there was no any place for vehicals and the site is unevenly distributed. But today each point of site is properly used.
In 1950, there was unpaved track in middle, at the end of which there was a barn land, a farmhouse and small area for chickens. Also larger portion of area was covered by the sheep. There was small seperated fields for fruit trees, soft fruits and for vegtables.
But now,there is a proper arrangement of each area like they installed camping field with parking so everyone can easily get there, moreover farm shop is moved with vegetation area iand also solar panels are installed with parking , so they can get both paring area and shadows for cars. The road is paved and to promote vactional activities they also made holiday cottages for families.
