The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The two maps illustrate the transformation that have occurred on a farm site from 1950 to present day.
Overall, the farm has changed from a purely agriculture area to a place for tourists and business. While the crops are still in the same place, new features like roads, shops camping and solar pannel have been added.
In 1950, the top and right side area were used for sheep. The bottom left area near the river was used for trees of fruits and vegetables. In the bottom right corner there was a barn, farmhouse and also the place for chickens. small tracks were connected these areas to main road.
Today, the old tracks have been converted into paved roads. The trees of fruits and vegetables are still there,but a new farm shop have built in this area.
The old sheep area have been completely replaced by solar pannels, camping field and in the top corner, parking area also built for visitors. The barn has been shiffted down. The new thing is holiday cottage that built near the farmhouse.
