IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.



 

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The given diagrams illustrates the changes done to the Beechwood farm from 1950 to 2026. There are a lot of changes during the years, many new shops were established.

Overall, the sheep area was completely changed and was occupied by solar panel and a little was acquired by parking. The barn area was replaced by holiday cottages and the tracks are converted into roads, the farm shop was inbuilt in the fruit trees.

Whereas the remaining part of the sheep was taken for the camping field. The chickens were placed in between the faemhouse and barn, there is another parking for vehicles right next to the road and trees were planted to give shade to the people who are camping.

The friut trees, soft fruits and the vegetables shops were remained unchanged. The diagram finally depicts a the the farm had developed to attract tourists. The plan was totally good and was clearly understood by any one.
