The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.



 

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The plans show the changes a farm had over the years by comparing the site in 1950 to the same site today.

Overall, the farm has added parking areas, a farm shop, holiday cottages and solar panels in the time period. A major change is the area that was used for sheeps previously has been replaced with a camping field and parkings.

The track has been upgraded to a road now. In 1950 the barn was much larger as it got replaced by holiday cottages and is shifted to a smaller building near the chickens. A small fram shop has been built in the area where fruit trees grow in the entrance. Opposite to the farm shop, one of the two parking spots has been built which is also connected to the main road. Meanwhile, the biggest transformation is of the area used for sheeps in 1950 as two parking sites have been built on each side. On the right side above the second parking, a chunk of area has been alocated for solar panels and a camping field with a giant tree in the middle has been made.

Areas for soft fruits, vegetables, chickens and farmhouse did not met any changes as these respective areas and buildings are still the same as in 1950.
