The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The diagrams illustrate how Beechwood Farm has changed from 1950 to the present day.

Overall, it is evident that Beechwood Farm has undergone significant changes, including the addition of several facilities, the redevelopment of the farm area, and the construction of new paths. The only part that has remained unchanged is the main road in the top-left corner of the farm, which crosses a river.

In 1950, there was a track leading from the main road to the farmhouse, barn and chicken coop, which were located near the centre of the farm. The land was mainly divided into two areas. The southern part was used for fruit trees, soft fruits and vegetables, while the northern part was used for grazing sheep.

Today, several changes can be seen. The track has been replaced by a proper road, and a car park has been added near the entrance. The farmhouse, barn and chicken coop have remained roughly the same, but the sheep-grazing area has been replaced by a camping field and a row of holiday cottages, reflecting the development of tourism. Furthermore, solar panels have been installed in the eastern part of the farm, while a farm shop has been built near the fruit trees, suggesting that the farm now sells its produce directly to visitors.
