The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The given maps illustrate the site of farm, namely a Beechwood Farm, in 1950 and the same farm today. This farm is situated on the north-east of a river, shown in illustration.
Overall, the Beechwood Farm has been developed a lot due to availability of the advanced facilities today, such as solar panels. There was a track in the map of 1950, shaped like a tringle at its meeting point, has now became a road.
In 1950, there were sheeps on the north-east side of the track, however, there is a camping field now with the facility of two parking areas. Solar panels has been installed in the north-east corner, beside the camping field. Below the road, in the east, there are holiday cottages now that replaced Barn. Whilst the Barn has been shifted below the road, beside the farmhouse and chickens.
Athough the areas including fruit trees, soft fruits, vegetables, farmhouse and chickens are at the same places (beside the river) today as they were in 1950, there was not a farm shop in the area of fruit trees which has been built now.
