The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.



 

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The given diagram illustrates the layout of a beechwood farm in 1950 and the same site today.

Overall, it can be observed that today's farm layout is more advaced and beneficial as compared to the old one.

To initiate, with the old layout of the farm in 1950 there were specific areas for vegetables, soft fruits, and fruit trees. Special area was assigned for sheeps amd chickens. There were also structures design for barn and farm house. The river and track covered every area of the beechwood farm.

On contrast, the farm house of today is more beneficial and productive according to the modern society as it fulfill the requirements of the public. Initially, solar panels are installed which can generate electricity free of cost for the farm. Moreover, camping field and holiday cottages are constructed for the people where they can enjoy there time. Furthermore, proper roads are assembled for vehicles and parking area is also provided for them to park there cars safely.
