The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The two maps illustrate the how the Beechwood farm has changed since it first design in 1950.
Overall, the farm has undergone significant redevelopment, with many original features being removed or replaced.Solar panels, Camping field ,Parking areas, Holiday cottages, and barn have been added while the fruit trees, soft fruits, vegetables, farmhouse , chickens and river remains unchanged. the notable feature is that roads have been constructed in a new design.
In 1950, the site contains different areas, such as sheep section at northern side, and after crossing the track this area was utilized for barn, farmhouse , chickens just near the bend of a river. near the main road fruit trees are planted, then soft fruits and vegetables consequently. The highway was built at north west corner .
In today's Beechwood farm, many additions have been recorded such as solar panels, 2 parking sheds, and a farm shop. subsequently, the camping field and holiday cottage have beed added. the tracks have been converted to roads.
