The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The given designs illustrate two same sites of a beechwood farm in the year 1950 and in the present.
In the current layout, there are some new additions shown in the sheep area, being replaced by camping field, solar panels and two sections for parking. Also the barn section is relocated and holiday cottages are now its place. Furthermore, the whole track is converted into a road.
It is clearly seen that, there have been no changes done to the road passing above the river, farmhouse, vegetable and soft fruits area. Fruit trees area is slightly occupied by a small farm shop within. Also barn is replaced by holiday cottages and is relocated to the corner of the road between vegetable and farmhouse area.
Whereas, on the other side of the road, was previously a whole area for sheep which is now redesigned into multiple sections. It is divided into two sections, the far section is occupied with solar panels and a parking lot. And the area near to road is allocated to camping site with another parking in this area.
