The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The given diagrams compare the changes to the site of Beechwood Farm between in 1950 and the present today.
Overall, it is evident that the sheep area connected with the track on the upper side is totally converted into more advanced infrastructure. The most striking feature is the track is converted into a road. While, the lower side of Beechwood Farm shows a little change between past and the present today.
In 1950, a large area in the northern part of the site was occupied by sheep, while fruit treees were located in the north-western corner. Soft fruits and vegetables were grown in the seperate fields in the central and southern parts of the farm. In addition, a farmhouse, a barn and a chicken area were situated in the south-eastern part of the site.
In Contrast, a large area is totally converted into an advanced infrastructure included a twice parking, camping field and solar panels. Likewise, a barn is connected with a new road and holiday cottages takes a place of old barn.
