The plans below show the site of a farm in 1950 and the same site today.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.



 

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The two images depicts changes in a farm site in 1950 and how it looks today. Overall, it can be seen that the farm site today has been developed greatly in terms of infrastructure since 1950. The major changes include addition of solar pannels, cottages, parking lots and camping fields.

Firstly, the field area dedicated to sheeps only in 1950 has now turned into camping field for tourists and visitors, providing designated parking slots on both corners to make it as convenient for them as possible. An addition of solar pannels can be observed making the farm site energy-efficient. Furthermore, there is an addition of farm shop near the main road.

The tracks are now developed into roads that lead to the barn that has been shifted from top to bottom. Addition of holiday cottages has been made in place freed by relocating the barn. To sum up, the farm site has been modernized with a lot of additions in the infrastructure.
